Beautiful people of the Vancouver Dodgeball League, that right there is the grand total raised by all the teams that participated in the Easter Seals 24hr Relay For The Kids held this past weekend!

Thanks to the massive support from all our players, friends, and families during our fundraising efforts, VDL and all the other teams at the Relay helped send about 450 kids with disabilities up to Squamish for the summer of their lives.

With all big VDL events, VDL refuses to come up short. Our team goal was to raise $2,500 for the kids. With great honour and excitement I’m proud to announce to the players, friends, and families of the Vancouver Dodgeball League that we have surpassed our goal and raised a grand total of $3,577 and ran 101.79 miles for the kids!

No matter how big this organization gets, it’s humbling to know that the organizers and the players still take the time and effort to give back to the community. It would only make sense to give back to the kids when we play and revolutionize a game that was once only played by kids!

So with that said, thank you all you dodgeballers for your generosity and for all your hardwork in making VDL’s first year in the 24hr Relay the biggest success story yet.
