Dodgeaholics, We Want You!

Happy 2010 to the entire VDL community!

A new year brings in new dodgeballs, new teams, and hopefully new execs. We don’t want to jinx ourselves, but we’re anticipating Season 9 to be our biggest season ever. With an expansion to 48 teams running both on Monday and Tuesday night, we’re hoping to welcome a few more execs on board onto our VDL wagon!

Are you motivated when it comes to dealing with dodgeball? Do you have a crush on one of our current execs?! Do you want make an impact in our dodgeball community? Do you have a skill/talent that you think will benefit VDL? Do you believe in what VDL is about? Do you support VDL’s vision? If you answered YES to any of the questions above or even any questions not listed, we want you!

We are currently looking for people to fill in the following open positions in our exec body.

League Ops Dept.: League Coordinators on ALL nights
Supply Dept.: General Coordinator
Programs Dept.: General Coordinator
IT Dept.: Web Developer
MarCom Dept.: Designer / Sponsorship Lead / Copywriter / Marketing Coordinator

If any of the positions interest you, we encourage you to download the appropriate application form from our Recruitment page, fill it up and e-mail it back to our HR department at HR@vdldodgeball.ca no later than February 1, 2010. Not only is volunteering with VDL fun, there are a lot of benefits that our execs receive for all their dedicated hard work. They include:

• Lots of team building activities
• Getting to know other execs and working with new people to contribute to the community
• Strengthen your leadership, professional and organizational skills
• Work on other community projects (pub night; community service initiatives, etc.)
• Having fun!
• Free League play, swag and food
• Basically, the idea is that you give and get in return when you volunteer at VDL.
