S7 – Monday Tuesday Recap

On May 9th and May 10th, the Vancouver Dodgeball League wrapped up its Tuesday and Monday Division Championships, respectively.  If you were not in attendence, then you missed out on some amazing dodgeball action as each team played hard to reach the finals.  Even with the intense competition, VDL is proud to say that all its players displayed the highest level of sportsmanship and spirit.

Congratulations to Fun Bucket and El Luchadores, who were the Monday Division and Tuesday Division Spirit Champions, respectively.  Throughout the season, Fun Bucket was always all smiles on the courts and we hear the source of their good spirit derived from their “fun bucket”, which they bring out every night . Even though you couldn’t see El Luchadores’ faces behind their masks, you could still see their smiles when you played them.  Both these teams walked away with $100 cash, Hootie the Spirit Owl, and the praise and admiration of their peers.

Dodgeball, I Choose You played amazing throughout the playoffs and while Doctor Dodgeball proved to be their toughest challenge, on this day the Dodgeball gods chose “Dodgeball, I Choose You” and sent the doctors to the intensive care unit.

El Luchadores showed great resiliency coming back to the finals for a rematch against 8 Bit, who they lost to earlier in the day.  The game was fantastic as these two teams were so evenly matched.  However, 8 Bit showed they had more game and managed to wrestle away the title from El Luchadores to capture the Tuesday Division title.

Congratulations to all the winners and we hope to see all teams return for Season 8 for more dodgeball goodness!
