Hello Dodgeaholics!

I hope everybody  had a fine off-season. Season 9 is underway and I hope everybody is pumped for a flippin’ great time!

As some VDL-enthusiasts may know, this current revision of the website was launched back in last September prior to Season 8. It was designed with you great people in mind but we never had the chance to give it a formal introduction.

At the very top, we have our navigation bars. The ones in grey will mostly contain reference information. You can learn about the league through these pages. The DODGEBALL RULES page is especially useful if you are new to the game, or even if you are a veteran and need freshen up on some rules!

The tabs in black, underneath the grey ones, are where regular season postings are going to be. Schedules should be available a week prior to play except when re-tiering occurs (our VDL computers need to crunch out the new rankings and schedules). Spirit and standings will be posted a day or two (or three) after the league night.

Just slightly underneath the navigation bar, off to the right, and slightly on top of the videos, we have a link that goes to our News Feed. This link is really useful if you are the online news savvy type who uses a feed reader (like Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Reader, etc) to catch up with your news.

We have three main blog streams: NEWS, DODGE BLOG and OFF THE COURTS. Our major news and announcements will appear under the NEWS category along with pretty pictures in the gallery to scroll through; the DODGE BLOG section will contain articles for a casual read; and the OFF THE COURTS section will contain media tidbits throughout the season.

That is basically the Vancouver Dodgeball League website in a nutshell. We admit that it is constantly a work in progress but we want our community to have the best experience on the the courts and online as well. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, feel free to leave a message.
