LEAGUE
Kick off the Fall season to a good vibe! VDL—Vancouver’s original, largest, and only non-profit dodgeball league— is proud to present its best season yet: Season Eight. We’re spreading the love with 4 nights of dodgeball a week, 140+ teams, over 1,000 players, legendary pub nights, epic playoff matches and loads of fun. Want to stay active, meet new friends and be part of a vibrant sporting community? If so, get your friends together, put in a team, and be ready for a season of good times!
INFORMATION
League Details:
- The season consists of 10 weeks of regular play, 1 preseason week and 1 playoff weekend
- There are 2-3 tiers per night; with 2 re-tiers during the season
- Each team will play 3-4 different teams and 15-16 games per night, depending on division
- Playoffs will be tiered
- A special Tournament of Champions for Monday to Thursday night winners
- Teams are co-ed, made up of a minimum of 6 players and maximum of 12 players. You’ll need at minimum, 2 females on your team, playing on the court at all times
- Dress in style and be spirited as there are trophies and prizes to be won for the best dressed and most spirited teams!

Cost: $450 early bird (August 15th); $500 regular (afterward) per team
Who: Anyone over 18!
If you would like to join as an individual player, please fill out this form and we will contact you asap. We will try our best to place individual players on a team, however placement is not guaranteed. Alternatively, visit our Facebook group page to network with other individual players to form a team.
Important Dates:
August 15th – End of early bird registration
August 31st – Registration ends, all payments are due
September 9th – 15th – Exhibition Week: Dodgeball 101 and Vet`s Night Drop-ins
September 12th – Captain’s meeting
September 16th – Regular play commences
November 31st – Final day of regular season play
Early December – Playoffs (Details TBA)
Early December – Tournament of Champions (Details TBA)

- Monday Night League; Starting Sept 14, 7:00-8:30PM or 8:30-10:00PM
- Tuesday Night League; Starting Sept 15, 7:00-8:30PM or 8:30-10:00PM
- Wednesday Night League; Starting Sept 9, 8:00-10:00PM
- Thursday Night League; Starting Sept 10, 7:00-8:30PM or 8:30-10:00PM
*Please note, teams in all divisions can expect to play in both the 7:00pm slot and the 8:30pm slot throughout the season. A team’s game time slot and gym location will vary on any given week depending on their current tier and gym availability.
