Refund Policy
Refund Policy has been updated on May 16/2013
(PRE-SEASON) REFUND POLICY
The VDL relies on the cooperation of all captains and players to follow these guidelines to run the league properly with minimal disruptions for the benefit of all.
In order to qualify for a refund of your team registration fees, team withdrawals must be sent in writing to register@vdldodgeball.ca before the final registration deadline date.
Please state your League Night Division, along with your team name, and a reason for your team withdrawal.
Team fee refunds must be submitted to register@vdldodgeball.ca before the final registration deadline date or teams will be charged a late request penalty fee of $50, in addition to the processing fee.
All refunds are subject to a $100 processing fee.
CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES REFUND
We understand there may be certain circumstances that may arise during the course of the league, and there could be possible team withdrawals.
If your team withdraws from the league, a refund will be granted in certain circumstances (i.e., injury, exceptional circumstances).
The League will evaluate and process the request.
1) In the case the League decides to reject the refund request, no refund will be granted.
2) In the case the League decides to approve the refund request, the team will receive a portion of the refund, based on the following variables:
- the time the withdrawal was requested
- the remaining weeks in the league
- the level of difficulty to find a replacement team
- If a team is able to find their own replacement team, the refund will be prorated based on the number of League Weeks* remaining.
*League Weeks ranges between Week 1 to Week 10
ABSENTEE REFUND
VDL encourages all teams to attend their league games every week. Without a full attendance of teams, it compromises VDL’s promise to deliver each team with 15-16 games per night (depending on the division). This affects the league, and of course the teams. Please be courteous to other teams and the league and notify your Division Lead, in the case that your team will not be able to attend their game(s).
In the case that your team is absent from the league and without notification, the league will choose one of the following:
1) If a team is absent from the league for more than 2 weeks consecutively without notifying their Division Lead, their spot in the league will be considered forfeited, and no refund will be granted unless:
- If said team presents special circumstances to VDL to explain their absence, please see the “Certain Circumstances Refund” section.
2) If a team is absent from the league for more than 2 weeks consecutively without notifying their Division Lead, and the first re-tiering has already occurred, their spot in the league will be considered forfeited. No refund will be granted.
*League Weeks ranges between Week 1 to Week 10
DEPOSITS
- Team deposits are non-refundable.
- Team deposits are transferable to a player’s secondary team, but will not be transferred to future seasons.
- Teams who have not cleared their balance by the Returning Team registration deadline will forfeit their deposits.
Please allow 2-3 weeks for processing. Refund will be made by cheque.
