Season 27 Ultimate Creative Team Photo Contest!

Voting Contest Dates: March 18 – May 1

1. Eligibility:

Photo Contest: This Campaign is open only to Season 27 Vancouver Dodgeball League (VDL) teams. Photos must be taken in a gym that VDL plays at and contain no photoshop. Team photos can be taken by VDL photographers during photo week (Week 3 of Play) or submitted to their division directors. The Campaign is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.

Voting Contest: This Campaign is open to any individual that has a Facebook account. All votes from non-human accounts are considered valid but the FitBit winner must be a verifiable individual. Each individual can only be entered into the draw once. Multiple votes on various photos will not increase chance of winning. FitBit winner must be 19 years or older and the winner must be able to claim the prize at any one of the S27 VDL playoffs (May 4, May 5, May 11 or May 12). Location and time will be communicated to the winner. Current VDL Executive volunteers are not eligible to win.

2. Agreement to Rules:

By participating, the Contestant (“You”) agree to be fully unconditionally bound by these Rules, and You represent and warrant that You meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, You agree to accept the decisions of the Vancouver Dodgeball League as final and binding as it relates to the content of this Campaign.

3. Campaign Period:

Photo Contest: Photos must be taken in a gym that VDL plays at and contain no photoshop. Team photos can be taken by VDL photographers during photo week (Week 3 of Play) or submitted to their division directors. Photo submission will be accepted until March 10, 2019.

Voting Contest: Voting begins on March 18 and ends on May 1st at 11:59PM (PST).

4. Prizes:

Photo Contest: The Winner of the photo contest (the “Winner”) will receive a free team registration for season 28 of dodgeball by the Vancouver Dodgeball League (approx value: $600 CAD) Actual/appraised value may differ at time of prize award. The specifics of the prize shall be solely determined by the Vancouver Dodgeball League. No cash or other prize substitution shall be permitted except at the Vancouver Dodgeball League’s discretion. The prize is non-transferable. The team must register under the same team name as season 27. Any and all prize-related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, state, and/or local taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of Winner. No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of prize to others or request for the cash equivalent by Winner is permitted. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for the Vancouver Dodgeball League to use Winner’s name, likeness, and entry for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

Voting Contest: The Winner of the voting contest (the “Winner”) will receive a free FitBit Charge 3 (approx value: $199.95 CAD) Actual/appraised value may differ at time of prize award. The specifics of the prize shall be solely determined by the Vancouver Dodgeball League. No cash or other prize substitution shall be permitted except at the Vancouver Dodgeball League’s discretion. The prize is non-transferable. Any and all prize-related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, state, and/or local taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of Winner. No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of prize to others or request for the cash equivalent by Winner is permitted. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for the Vancouver Dodgeball League to use Winner’s name, likeness, and entry for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

5. Winner Selection and Notification:

Photo Contest: Winner will be selected by community “like” on Facebook under the supervision of the Vancouver Dodgeball League. Winner will be notified via Facebook within three (3) days following selection of Winner. Vancouver Dodgeball League shall have no liability for Winner’s failure to receive notices due to spam, junk e-mail or other security settings or for Winner’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If Winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within 31 days from the time award notification was sent the prize may be forfeited and an alternate Winner selected. Receipt by Winner of the prize offered in this Campaign is conditioned upon compliance with any and all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Voting Contest: Winner will be selected by a random draw under the supervision of the Vancouver Dodgeball League. Winner will be notified via Facebook within three (3) days following selection of Winner. The winner must have a Facebook account in order to be eligible. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY WINNER (AT VANCOUVER DODGEBALL LEAGUE’S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN WINNER’S DISQUALIFICATION AS WINNER OF THE CAMPAIGN, AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.

6. Terms & Conditions:

Vancouver Dodgeball League reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Photo and Voting contest should virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other cause beyond Vancouver Dodgeball League’s control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Campaign. In such case, the Vancouver Dodgeball League may select the Winner from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by the Vancouver Dodgeball League. Vancouver Dodgeball League reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Campaign or website or violates these Terms & Conditions. Vancouver Dodgeball League has the right, in its sole discretion, to maintain the integrity of the Campaign, to void votes for any reason, including, but not limited to: multiple entries from the same user from different IP addresses; multiple entries from the same computer in excess of that allowed by Campaign rules; or the use of bots, macros, scripts, or other technical means for entering. Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Campaign may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such attempt be made, the Vancouver Dodgeball League reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.
