UPDATE #4:

After final checks and due diligence with our legal counsel, there is a clear infringement regarding the winning design despite efforts to resolve the situation. VDL wants to be respectful of the IP rights of others so these shirts will not be printed and distributed. We deeply apologize for this.

The designer has accepted the current situation and will still be awarded their prize. We as a league will learn from this moving forward so we can try again in the future. Thank you for understanding.

We’re proud to announce the launch of our Season 15 T-Shirt Design Contest!

THE SKINNY
Do you have an eye for design? Do you think you have what it takes to create the newest VDL T-Shirt? Here’s your chance to show the VDL Community your mad design skills! Submit your design entry using the following Guidelines and tell your VDL friends to vote for your awesome design!

DESIGN GUIDELINES

• Printing is done by DTG (Direct to Garment). The ink is sprayed directly onto the fabric.  This is a fully digital process and they use 4-colour water-based, eco-friendly 4 colour process inks.  You can create your design as large as 14”w x 16” tall.
• Vectorized Files accepted: Adobe Illustrator (AI) or PDF – please ensure that all images are embedded, all fonts are converted to curves, and all outlines are made to outline strokes.  The artwork will be printed at the size it is received at.
• Pixel Based Files accepted: JPG, Photoshop (PSD), or PNG files.
• Print Size: 300 dpi at print size
• Background: removed or the same colour as the t-shirt
• The VDL Logo is NOT required in your design.
• VDL reserves the right, at its own discretion, to disqualify any entry that is incomplete, conveys an inappropriate/offensive message, or does not reflect the values set by the league.
• By submitting a design, you acknowledge that the design is: (a) wholly original; (b) does not include or incorporate any material that would require the consent of any third party; and (c) does not violate any copyright, trademark, or any other intellectual property rights of any third party.
• The winning designer will be the copyright holder of the art, but VDL has the exclusive and perpetual license to use the design, royalty-free.
• Submit your design entry in one of the accepted formats listed above to ewong@vdldodgeball.ca no later than Sunday, April 7th, 2013 at 11:59PM. 

VOTE, VOTE, VOTE!
If you want your design to win, tell your friends, family, and loved ones to check out our website for all submissions…and VOTE!

• On Monday, April 8th, 2013, the public can view the submitted designs on our website and vote for their favourite.
• Public voting will run until Saturday, April 13th, 2013 at 11:59pm.
• The top 3 designs will be submitted anonymously to a judging panel where a winning design will be selected based on: (a) relevance to dodgeball, (b) visual appeal, and (c) originality/creativity.
• The winner will be announced on Monday, April 15th, 2013!

THE PRIZE
The winning designer will be awarded $200 CASH and THREE FREE T-Shirts! Not to mention being awarded the Title of “Season 15 2013 VDL T-Shirt Design Winner”…the Winner’s designed T-Shirt will also be on sale for all VDL players to purchase and rock out in!
