Due to the ongoing B.C. teachers’ strike, we are unable to determine exactly when the dodgeball season will begin. Our hope is that the B.C. Teachers’ Federation and the government can resolve their differences soon, so we can start the season in mid-September as scheduled.

If the strike continues past mid-September, we will push the season back to early October and have playoffs in early to mid-December. If the strike extends past early October, we will divide the season into two equal portions, five weeks before the Winter break and five weeks after the Winter break followed by the playoffs. However, if the strike continues past early November, we will have no choice but to cancel the season.

We have been contacting different organizations, including local community centres, private schools, and churches, to find alternative venues for this upcoming dodgeball season. Unfortunately, many of these organizations either do not rent out their facilities or have their own programs in place. The Vancouver Dodgeball League would like to thank you for your patience and understanding on this current situation that is simply out of our control. We hope to see you and your team on the court soon!

There’s only one spot remaining for Monday and Thursday night! As well, a very limited number of spots are left for Wednesday night. Snatch up the final spots before it sells out like our Tuesday night. The season will start once the strike comes to a conclusion, so secure that spot before someone else does!
